Our People
Our students experience great tutoring and have fun learning—something that happens by design, not by chance. Our Tutoring Specialists—who are Company employees, not independent contractors—undergo a competitive selection process and rigorous professional development program designed to identify and amplify our four CORE qualities: charisma, overt dynamism, ready adaptability, and empathy—traits that combine to create highly effective and personable educators. All of our Tutoring Specialists are further trained to recognize and document each student’s interests and learning style and tailor their instruction accordingly.
Our Approach
We combine a highly individualized approach to learning with team-based behind-the-scenes support to deliver for our students. In most cases, each student works with the same Tutoring Specialist in one-on-one sessions for the duration of his or her tutoring program—quickly building an effective, engaging, and consistent learning relationship. At the same time, Tutoring Specialists and managers work together to monitor our students’ progress and make adjustments as necessary. During sessions, we work from students' school curriculums and homework to the maximum extent possible—meaning that tutoring is a place not only to learn, but to get things done. Where skill gaps exist or where otherwise necessary, we employ supplemental curriculums and resources.

This singular focus allows us to target our programs to our students’ specific needs in ways that generalists cannot match, while also leaving us undistracted by irrelevant corporate priorities. Our Feedback-Driven Results System
At the end of the day, our customers call on us because of the specific outcomes they want to achieve, and communication is key to getting there. We send parents a detailed Session Report by email after every single tutoring session—but we also recognize communication is a two-way street. At Frontier Tutoring, we are obsessed with systematically seeking out feedback and using it to pivot our approach in real-time to meet the individual needs of our students. It's a process of continuous improvement, one student at a time, that leads to amazing results.
